General Requirements for IID Rebates
To qualify for IID rebates, the requirements for individual products or systems vary depending on what you are installing, but there is a list of general requirements regardless of your product selection:
- Products that qualify must be purchased and installed in 2024, between 1/1/2024 and 12/31/2024
- Applicants must submit their invoice and/or receipt that lists the qualifying product brand and model (if replacing an existing product, the brand and model of the replaced product should be included), proof of purchase, and measure specific requirements
- All applications for IID Energy Rewards rebates must be submitted online through their portal.
IID Rebate Qualifying Products
Ductless Mini Split
Your new ductless mini split system must equal or exceed a 17.1 SEER2 rating and be AHRI certified. The mini split unit must be installed directly in the conditioned space of the home by an IID participating contractor. You can earn a $200/unit rebate for a new mini split installation in 2024.
EnergyStar Thermostat
Installing a smart thermostat or one that helps you conserve energy and save money can earn you IID rebates. There is a detailed list of qualifying EnergyStar thermostats that can earn you a rebate of $50/unit.
EnergyStar Room Air Conditioner
You can earn a rebate of $100/unit when you purchase an EnergyStar room air conditioner.
Gas to Electric Conversion
If you switch your gas heater to an electric system, it may qualify for a rebate. Your new electric heat pump system must equal or greater than 5 tons. The new product must meet or exceed 16.2 SEER2 rating and 7.7 HSPF2 for split systems or 12.2 SEER2 and 7.2 HSPF2 for package systems. The heat pump system must be AHRI-certified with the SEER2 value. As with other installed products, installation must be completed by an IID participating contractor. This conversion can earn a $400/ton rebate.
HVAC System
There are several tiers for split and package HVAC system installation rebates, based on the SEER2 rating and EER2 ratings. Tier 1 split or package HVAC product installation can earn a rebate of $125/ton, tier 2 earns $200/ton, and tier 3 can earn $300/ton.
